Representing EFC

MSSC would like you to remember that how you present yourself through out the season is not only a reflection of you, but it is also a reflection of the club. Please be sure to keep the pledges that we made in mind when attending any and every function.

Coaches Code of Ethics Pledge

I will help each individual to grow as a player and a leader.

I will instruct each player as much as possible while keeping it fun and simple.

I will insure that I am knowledgeable in the rules and I will teach these rules to my players.

I will constantly conduct a fair evaluation of each player and work with him or her in areas that need improvement.

I will conduct myself at all times, win or lose, in a manner that is consistent with Good Sportsmanship and the Philosophy set out by the Middletown Select Soccer

I will respect the officials, coaches, players, parents and opponents at all times.

I will place the emotional and physical well being of my players ahead of any personal desire to win.

I will remember that I am a youth coach and that the game is for children and not adults.

I will teach leadership and good sportsmanship by example at all times.

I will participate in as many seminars and clinics as I can to become a better coach and to help those around me improve as well.

Parents Golden Rules

Encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches and officials at every practice or game.

Remember that this is a game for children and not for adults.

Do my very best to make this sport fun for my child.

Insist that my child treat other players, coaches, parents, officials and opponents with respect at all times.

Stress to my child the need for sports and academic performance.

Always remember whom you are representing and what the organization stands for. Always conduct yourself, on or off of the field, in a manner that is consistent with Good Sportsmanship and the Middletown Select Soccer Program

Understand that My negative conduct may influence the playing time of my child.

Players Golden Rule

Take pride in who you are, what you stand for and whom you represent at all times, on and off of the field. Always keep your head up and you won't have to hold it down

Don't question the official's calls; you can't expect them to be as perfect as you are! Always expect good things to happen.

Practice doesn’t make perfect; PERFECT practice makes perfect.

Always hustle. No championship was ever achieved by walking!

Treat your parents, coaches, teammates, officials and opponents with respect at all times.

Always maintain a positive open mind towards your coaches. They have you and your team’s best interest at hand.

Work hard and practice at all things. Give 100% effort 100% of the time.
